Those of you who work in bigger companys, with a network, don't you just hate e mails like the one I responded to as below?
Or am I being a BOF?
" HI AB
Please put the job number in the title of the mail.
Also, is it too much to ask that you copy clip the text of the minutes into the mail as well, saves 15 different people a minute or two in looking up
the information
Thanks
Fred

I don't think you're being a BOF. Zapping him with a cattle-prod and extorting money off him (not necessarily in that order) would be more
in line with that.....
I think it's perfectly reasonable, especially the subject line bit.
The only thing with doing that kind of thing by email is that it's a bit too easy for the recipient to mis-read your reasonable request for a
rant ( a colleague and I hardly ever email each other now, we speak on the phone instead, as we wind each other up over email. We get on a lot better
now...) A quick phone call is sometimes better.
And then you can zap them with a cattle prod

i had some invoices returned the other week because i hadnt put the order number on them. She had the remedial number which the computer would easily get the order number from, so instead of spending a few mins looking it up, she sent it back. Which didnt save her any effort, since i have to ring her for the order numbers anyway! If they had done their job right they would've sent me full paperwork out in advance and id've had the order number up front.
