USA Visa

after researching my move to the states. (thanks for all the advice chaps) i have become quite worried about what my wife is going to do. I think my company will get me a H1B Visa (i think) but what about my wife she needs to work, she'll go spare if she is stuck in the house. and the company aren't that keen on sorting her out. they suggest she find some sort of study/work program at a uni. she is degree qualified in "science and health in exercise and sport" btw.

anyone have any suggestion specifically for this?

"Technically"...she won't be able to work.....in the same way that you shouldn't copy software...;-)

There are many ways around it..

If it's a case of keeping her occupied rather than needing to earn money then could she do volunteer work of some kind?

if she has a degree could she not teach at a local school/college, it might be easier to get
1) a visa,
2) temp work only a couple of days a week.
3) cheerleader sleep overs at your house

unfortunately in not just a case of keeping her occupied, we can't afford to take the hit financially BUT this move is a chance in a lifetime and not going would be seriously career limiting
