Kerosene safe containers
bigandy - 30/6/07 at 09:59 PM

Evening folks.

I'm trying to find a source of a couple of plastic containers that are safe to use for the storage (and transport) of Kerosene/oil. I'm looking for something that is pretty robust, and can handle being kept in a shed, and transported around in the back of a car/van etc, whilst full of kerosene/oil.

They need to be well sealed when the lid is put on, and anywhere between 10-20 liters in capacity, with a carrying handle built in if possible.

Does anyone know where I might be able to find a couple of these?

Cheers
Andy

I've only just read the news, and this sounds a bit dodgy now this thread! Seriously though, it is just for transporting a fuel/oil mix for my Model turbojet engine around

Cheers

You can use caravan/camping water containers, I use to fly turbine jets also and this is what I used. Cost about £10 for 25l container.

Go to your nearest agricultural or plant dealer and ask for a couple of empty oil drums guaranteed they'll have loads of them lying around.
