My sister has just been given the good news that she managed to write off their 2 yr old Crysler Voyager in the floods a week or so ago.
They have 3 kids under 3 yrs old and need another car that has plenty of room and can get 3 kid seats across the back and ideally with the ISO fix
points for the car seats.
The voyager they bought new was speced with all the toys, DVD, sat nav, leather, electric doors, 'stow n go' underfloor storage etc so would
like something with all the niceties.
She was considering something more rugged, they live in the country and when we get snow their roads are never cleared and when they get heavy rain
there is alwas a lot of puddles and mud washed off the surrounding farmland.
with 3 kids and a dog it needs to have plenty of storage too.
She may consider a full on 4x4 or something more softroader.
It needs to be a comfortable cruiser too for family holidays etc.
Budget would be around the 17-20K mark depending on what her insurance will give har back on hers + what ever they decide to put towards it.

Considering a 4x4, what about a Nissan Pathfinder?
My GF came home in a nissan qashqai the other day and Im not usually impressed by new cars but this was a cracking car. really nice
Subaru Forester? the farmers friend
Another vote for the qashqai here - I've driven one and was very impressed.
If she doesn't need 4wd they can be obtained with only 2wd - my choice would be the 2.0 diesel top of the range tekna i think it is called.
Cheers

I would recommend the Rav4. You could get a late low mileage with all the toys on for that sort of money.
Reliability will not be an issue plus i think they are really nice cars. My wife wants one at the moment.

The quashai is a ncie car.
The rav4s are nice to. All the toys with a diesel can be had for that money,.
Thanks for the advice guys, i think she might like the Qashqai in either 2 or 4wd.
It looks like it might have significantly bitter ground clearance than the old Crysler too.
The pathfinder seems to be expensive if you want all the toys.
