more rain
smart51 - 5/7/07 at 11:01 AM

I've just looked at metcheck for the weather over the next 2 weeks where I live. They're forcasting rain every day. It has already rained every day for a month. What's going on?

I think its the weather gods conspiring against Locostbuilders.co.uk

This has got to be the worst summer weather I can remember. All those years I sat outside in the sun mentally driving round twisty country lanes and thinking "when I finish my Locost"..... Now I've finally finished it and it chucks it down all summer. It'll probably miss out Autumn and go straight to snowstorms next....

People like us driving fast cars and SUVs are choking the planet and bringing water-borne death upon ourselves, it's everything we deserve, we should be driving a toyota prius.

And not in any way related to the huge amounts of coal and gas we burn every day to generate electricity, because people are scared of nuclear power stations.

And certainly not anything to to with the vast amounts of coal China burns every day to generate it. the fact that they're building 100 new coal fired power stations every year(!) can't possibly have anything to do with it.

It must be us drivers. At least until Gordon Brown can come up with a plan to tax the Chinese for their electricity generation instead.

/rant over.

Tomorrow, World Peace. (actually no, I'll be at the trackday at Abingdon.

I was told that there would be one day with no rain this month.

Thought to be bullshit at first - but maybe not ?

I'll still bet we'll have a hose pipe ban by mid August though

Global warming to blame for cold wet weather. No doubt about it at all. Or, it might be the US government....

I think the bad weather is all my fault. It has been like this ever since I bought the Vortx

According to the respected tome of considered journalism that goes by the name of The Sun, it'll be the 15th.

All this rain is p*ssing my bonus away down the drain, it's based on how many people spend cash at theme parks and they're all massively down on visitors this month. Still, no bonus is better than a flooded house so I can't grumble too much

Have to agree, its so depressing. Its rained all of June, and we are a week into July and its still lashing.

my thoughts to those of you who have finished a build this year.....
