Anyone know if a tom tom sat nav can be upgraded? mine has european major routes, but i would like european street level mapping.....can the memory card be upgraded or is there more to it than this?

Yuo would buy a new SD card with the updated maps. The SD you have will be virtually full. I beleive the upgrade is around £60 from Tom Tom. Alternatively check out eBay as you can buy them there. You will need a security code from the TomTom website so don't be tempted to copy someone elses card!

You just need the maps installing on the memory card, what model of TomTom.

SPlitrivet - you cant just copy them! The Tomtom knows that the maps you have are registered already. when you switch on it won't fire up without an activation code.

I have a 510, the memory card is almost full without the France map....I assume that bigger cards can be fitted?
