No but it might get dearer! (yeah shock horror, surprise I know!)

I was only talking about this yesterday, and I recalled something from one of my design teachers who had done studies into this area (what for I join you in screaming - he had nothing to do with oil, just curious!), and he found that there are massive quantities of natural resources in central australia, but because it is so barren, and such a long way from any shipping chance, they reckon it costs toom uch, and will only be tapped when all else has run out (or thereabouts!)

Plenty of oil and gas left in the world but it's either a long way from anything or in a not very friendly place (or both)...

The problem isn't a lack of oil, its just that a lot of the remaining oil is in difficult to reach places (and I don't mean Middle Eastern countries..... ahem.....)....
The cost of getting the oil out of the ground will slowly increase until most people can't afford it and we have to look for alternatives... but I guess we'll get to find out what that is like this winter when Russia puts up the gas prices by 1000% (the UK relies on Russia for 70% of its gas)....

hmm didnt they tell everyone petrol was running out in 1976

We keep finding oil, but it is in places where oil workers get kidnapped, or in that friendly place, the middle east. From what I hear, we don't get all the oil out of oil wells as it costs too much. Crude oil is the second cheapest bulk liquid next to sea water. When oil does start to get scarce, the price will rise enough to start getting more out of old wells.

We will run out eventually but that's not the biggest problem. All the politics surrounding oil will lead to war first.

i don't think half of all oil's been found yet
