I've tried a similar (brand name, but much cheaper!) ultrasonic mouse deterrent in my garage, when it was 'visited' by mice. Total waste of time - had to resort to poison in the end, unfortunately.

we must have different units, or at least different mice here in Canada, I bought a 3 pack of ultrasonic mice repellers, within 24 hours not a mouse to be seen, or heard since.
