As far as I know acetone IS nail varnish remover.

I would have thought that most young, and not so young, ladies in your street had a bottle.

Try knocking on a few doors.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

My wife works in a Pharmacy and the only difference is Nail Varnish Remover has conditioners (Oils) in it. She uses pure Acetone as most of the other's (in the know) do...

The adhesive for false nails is closely related to superglue. I've used Bostik superglue remover before on my daughter. Most DIY stores stock it. It worked but it was difficult to get under the false nail.

Use some thinners and lash a bucket full of moisturiser on her fingers after.
Nail varnish remover is basically acetone with oils dissolved in.

I am amazed that so many of you know so much about how nails are applied/removed
Now I know why your builds take so long!
Stop painting your nails and get on with the building!!!!!!

Acetone is used in Acetylene cylinders.

It adsorbs 25 times its own volume of acetylene, so, more gas per cylinder.

It's all part of life's rich tapestry for a welder.
