Car broken into again
donut - 2/8/07 at 08:06 AM

Wife went to get her umbrella from the car this morning to find someone has been riffling through the car. This happened before on 26th April but that time they broke the door lock. This time the lock was fine, infact everything was except evidence that they were looking for money and valuables. This time they left the CD's and a camera but looks like they took my boy's Ninteno DS.

I swear i locked the car as always but the wife said the car was probably unlocked as the lights didn't flash when she unlocked using the remote.

No one else got done last time and i think it's either the fact that VW's are easy to brake into or it's cos i live opposite an ally way so the thieves can make an easy escape.

Oh well at least nothing was broken. I'm still waiting on payment for the last brake in!!

Silly question but why leave things like a DS in the car un attended anyway?

If they have been in your car before and gathered rich pickings then its worth a go again in a couple of months when your vigilance has worn off isnt it?

That would be my way of thinking.

Keep it safe

Keep it locked

Keep it hidden

Best of all if its at home keep it EMPTY!

All cars are easy to break into if you leave them unlocked, not just VW's.

I absolutely agree. It's not like my son to leave it in the car as it's usually permanantly attached to his hand but he sat in the front coming back from the park yesterday so forgot to take it in. That will teach him!!

I sware the car was locked!!
