my mum has had a letter through from a well know air fresher company telling her she has won a holiday.

she has a choice of either

the ice hotel norway for 2
5 * to hong kong for 2
the maldives for 2
5* turkey for 4

it all sounds legit and will get some more details tomorrow.

assuming it is from that well known company, congratulations!

They're all scams. All of them. The usual thing is that you get one of the holidays at random at a random time with 2 or 3 weeks notice sometime in the next 18 months. They are time shares or similar and they take you to one of their places during a cancelation to give you the slow sell.

did she enter a competition for a holiday?

sounds suspiscious to me - from what I can see, the competitions with hoilidays as prizes tend to have one destination only.

the prize is from ambi pure and something to do with the 3volution product, which has 4 different smells so i can tell which are
seaside, fresh, heavenly and oriental.
so i think the holidays are to match these.
will know more details later on.
she thinks it was a show she visited where she entered.

the prize and the people she has been talking to are a company called unmissable and they are sales promitions agents and have had various clients suchs as diet coke, barclays 3 mobile..

the holidays are only a week and are
white sands spa maldives and the shangri la hotel - hong kong.
she was not bothered about the othe 2,

how can she check it is not a scam, i have emailed ambi pur to see if they ran such a prize.

do that and check with them.

We won a holiday a while back though, had to call a premium rate number but knew the call rate and kept an eye on the watch to make sure it was "as advertised", which it was, and then won.

It was only 1 month notice and it was at an odd time of the year, but it was still a week in southern ireland for the cost of a five quid call!!

(ps there was small print stating that if you called, you were guaranteed a prize equivalent in value to the cost of the call, watch for this one as it tends to mean it is at least semi-legit )

I wouldn't email abipure, I'd call them. Ask to speak to their marketting department.

They will be very helpful - as long as you are polite most companies are (and marketting tends to be full of hotties... )

All you need to ask is if they deal with that company name you mentioned (unmissable or something..sorry i forgot!) - if they don't I am sure they will want to know more, as big companies do not take kindly to having their names used without permission.

well everything seems ok she has given them the dates of first week of december when she wants to go, flights, hotel and helicopter ride included.

they are phoning back monday with confirmation of the dates and if she can fly from manchester.
