I start tomorrow at the structural engineers tomorrow as senior cad technician.
have been told my first project is a 20 million pound health centre
. or well better than mrs smith kitchen extension.
all i can say is good luck ! and that is sounds exciting
WOW and Good Luck
O
Best of luck! You'll get used to monopoly money type numbers being bandied about pretty quickly
Good luck with it!
There comes a time (fairly quickly) when £20M is just another number! Leisure centres are good though - I've been part of the project team for a
few and they were some of the more interesting in terms of seeing the end result.
Good luck, and have fun.
Don't get too worried about the big numbers being able to point to something a lot of people use and saying 'I did that one' is one of
the best feelings there is.
Good luck!
its amazing how quickly you get used to large numbers....
Good luck with the job and remember to smile, be polite and take lots of notes on day one.
Unlike me when i returned to my current company. Walked in the office, sat down, farted, belched, turned on my pc, moaned and asked who's getting
the drinks! The people who didn't know i'd worked there before and knew 80% of the staff / all the management where amazed at my balls.

It'll not be long before all the architects hate you then
Enjoy your job. They hate quantity surveyors as well so don't take it
personally.
Good Luck
How much of the 20 million is yours?
'Bloody structural engineers, don't know their *rse form their elbow grumble grumble etc etc....'
We would never say those kind of things here mind you
