Land Rover Discovery axle info please.
TGR-ECOSSE - 19/8/07 at 08:16 PM

I have a 1994 300tdi discovery that needs a front diff and cv joint and while i was at scrappy today they got in a 1993 200 series 2.0 mpi and he wants £40 for the front axle. Does anyone know if the diff ratio is the same. Have tried searching Land Rover forums but cant find much info on the 2.0 mpi so thought i would ask here. The disco had range rover alloys with brand new kumho tyres and i got the 4 for £60 woo hoo

Also has anyone fitted a rear body crossmember to a disco as mine seems to have disappeared and it looks a pain to repair.
I will ask more locost questions someday but things are going well with the build just now

Thanks
Ronnie

Dont know about the 2.0 Mpi, but all the rest are 3.54 Diffs and re Interchangeable, except for the 110 rear Salisbury axle (Still 3.54 though)
AS far as I know, the differences are all in the transfer boxes not the diffs.

I think the V8's had 4 pin (desirable) diffs in them.

Don't know the answer to your question but I've done a lot of welding to the boot floor of my neighbour's h reg disco, so must be a common place for rot to set in!

the ratios are all the same, all parts are interchangeable (front shafts can differ, just make sure you take the whole axle and you won't have a problem.)

Oh, hook me the top off the inlet manifold would you please?
