An excellent tool for game keepers in the Highlands to catch poachers in the forrests and lochs, less useful for poachers as it doesn't have much load capacity. A little product placement in a Bond film and the should sell like crazy!

I like the Humdinga concept, though there is a lot of room for improvement.

If they ever dream about landing a cushy military contract, they need to increase the approach and departure angles by quite a bit. Especially the rear overhang is just too much. Ground clearance doesn't seem to be all that spectacular either.

I am not sure what 4x4 system it uses, but I imagine 'true' offroad capability is compomised by the retracting system. Lockable enter diffs are a must, and lockable front and rear diffs are a big bonus. The tires would need to be standard NATO items..

Then the engine; a 300+ HP gasoline engine is nice, but should really be replaced by a diesel engine. There are plenty of American V8 turbodiesels that are well into the 300Hp range, so performance wouldn't have to suffer. For increased compatibility and integration with existing vehicles, they could choose the Hummer's diesel engine, too..

The wheelbase is a bit on the long side.. 320mm. I think 300mm really is the max, and it should probably be a bit shorter still to improve offroad handling.

Overall an interesting vehicle. I think they need to scale it down a little though, for ease of air transport.

With a couple of modifications though it would be an interesting platform for amphibious army units..
