Anyone seen the Volvo feature in the new PPC?

I love that engine, and now I want one. Not for anything in particular, they just look superb. I may just chunk that zetec.. STOP IT!!!

IMHO you cannot whack a decent straight 6 and that one looks like one of the best. All alloy construction and only 4 inches longer than a 4 pot.

yes i do , and you can have it with forged rods and pistons .

its about time people started to learn .

even more incredible is the new 320 hp six thats no longer than the 5 cyl .

So do you use the Volvo gear box as well and if so how well does it fit in a standard locost?

std manual gearbox is a bit wide and rare , adapter plates for bmw getrag are £130 , and cossie (t5) adapters are on the way .

you should treat it as a T5 conversion except it has an extra cylinder , since its the same engine with subtle differences .

im wanting about £2k for a built 2.8 litre turbo 6 .

you could use the auto box and build a control box to use flappy paddles to control since its the same box in the Supra .

I have a manual Supra 5 speed gearbox. Is the bellhousing the same pattern as the Volvo?

no its not the same , the manual box is volvos own box , the automatic which most came with have the aw34 or something of that nature - its the same box in the auto supras and pickups .

im sure you can get an adapter plate for the supra box too - dellow in australia for a start - or just make you own .

Tis a great engine - I loved my old T5 ......

And the Volvo in PPC is truely awesome, that exhaust manifold is a work of art .....
