I recently bought a Motorola RAZR H3 bluetooth headset to match my RAZR phone. Trouble is, I can't keep it on my ear!

Can anyone recommend a not-too-expensive headset that actually works, stands some chance of staying on my ear, and maybe has an earpiece that actually goes into the ear canal (the Moto one doesn't)?

Hi David, I have just bought the same phone and I found the Jabra 250 works well - I can even have a handsfree conversation up to about 60mph.

I saw those Jabra things while Googling. I've also been looking at the Bluetrek Tattoo - fairly cheap, claims to be ok with glasses, latest bluetooth standard. The interchangeable covers are totally naff, but they don't have to be fitted...

I only want the thing for when I'm driving - I wouldn't be seen dead wearing one in the street!

I've tried all sorts and always end up going back to the 'old-fashioned' cabled one that comes with the phone. The old Nokia bluetooth one was about the closest I came to using one, the sound quality was reasonable (both for me and the people on the other end trying to listen), but the battery lasted about half a phone call between charges. Everything else just sounds poop, particularly for the people on the other end of the phone (who generally tend to be in noisy environments and a bit mentally deficient and so need every bit of help they can get when trying to diagnose pc problems over the phone, whilst i'm tootling along the motorway wondering why they employ these people).

I decided that the Bluetrek made it look as if you were being attacked by a rabid cockroach - at least the Jabra looks a bit 'Star Trek'

Hi, i know its not exactly what you were after but I have one of these
its a parrot ck3100 car kit. It mates with my phone and allows me to scroll through the phone book without touching the phone and shows the name of anybody calling ( as long as they are in my phone book.
I bought mine of ebay with an adapter which just piggy backs into the stereo, mutes it when a call comes through and sends the call through the speakers.
Cant fault it.

I,ve got a parrot 3100 as well its the bees knees!

using a bluetooth headset whilst driving can still get you done and 3 points.
