hi all iam looking at building a massive shed to get the car chassis in to build it in.
anyone got any plans for building one or have you built your own. got any pics of how you built it. and how did you sort the base out for it.
thanks adam
is 8 x 12 ft big enough for ya, well is it?!?!??!
here is one I mader earlier
actaully I lied, once again google is your friend.
if that is not good enough for you, browse over http://www.freeww.com/storagebuildings.html
Speak to NS Dev - he mad a 'shed' thats rather large and workshop based.
I made a huge shed recently - the neighbours call it my 'chalet'.
Base I got a decking kit from screwfix (£377 I think - that gets you 12 sq. m of base)
walls were shiplap on 50mm sq frame - the 50mm sq was on offer at B&Q at the time.
Roof is T&G, 13mm I think, felt nailed on.
Borrowed my mate's pneumatic nail gun - godsend!

Wish I'd seen that before. The voice of experience says to just remember one of lifes truisms - "buy a cheap shed - get a cheap shed".
Building your own has got to be a much better idea than buying cheap.
You could also consider building in a steel frame whilst you're at it to provide lifting capability for engines etc.
Best of luck. Pewe

I built mine too.
Made it in sections from 3x2 with shiplap boarding. made trusses and erected it in a morning.
Base cost just under 300 quid for the concrete - I levelled the ground for the base and that was hard work.
Timber for the rest cost me around 300 quid IIRC.
I may have pics.
Keep an eye on your free ads paper, ebay, auctions advertised in back of you local paper etc for something being sold.
I got mine from a dispersal sale for a market gardener, his had burnt down peviously & the insurance put a new one up & the poor old fella
died! It was knocked down to me for £620, 36' long, 14' wide, 8' high sheeted to the ground complete with doors. A rough reckon up at
the time was that it'd cost £1300-1500 for materials new.
I'd seen a fair few others in the free ads etc for very little or "free to dismantler" but they wer'nt big enough for me
