oh god what have i done
just recived my megajolt today how small lol god knows how i will manage to put it all together
anyone got any advice

I guess that you've never soldered a circuit board before! 
First off, I'd put the kit aside and go to your nearest Maplins. Look for the Velleman kits, which are reasonably cheap beginners kits, and pick
one that appeals to you - any one. If you haven't got a very small soldering iron, have a look at their selection - you can get a nice iron,
stand and a bit of solder quite cheaply. Now assemble that, sort out the problems, and make sure that your work is neat and tidy.
Once that works, go and read the instructions on the autosportlabs website - I printed them out - and follow them religiously. They are very good!
Measure voltage and check when the instructions say so.
You should find that by the time you get to this stage you'll be quite confident.

have soldered before just the components are so blody small and i have rather large hands lol

Most of the parts have pre bent leads but be carefull when bending the small glass zener diodes to fit the board.I found that some components need the
leads adjusting and it is easy to damage the body of the zener diodes, also solder them and the oscillator module to the board before cutting the
leads to length as they can be damaged by shock as the side cutters break through the lead if unsupported and cut close to the body of the
component.
It is also a good idea to glue the two 33uf electrolitic capacitors in the power supply section to the board to support them, as the ones I have had
supllied in kits are not exactly the correct lead spacing and so stand off the board slightly and would be subject to vibration failure if not
secured.
Also remember to take precautions against static whilst handling the iCs.

Have ever tried using one of those 'lens on a stand' things, so you can see what you're doing while your hands are busy doing the
soldering?
I have one - it can be a bit clumsy, but sometimes I need all the help I can get!
