I was wondering what's out there for these classic endurance racers.
The ones I like the most are in the "bigger guys" category, wide and with a longitudinally mounted mid chunky engine.
It has to do with me watching the film "Le Mans" for the first time the other day, I really really enjoyed that.
OK, the few kits I know about are:
-Several GT40 ones: Tornado TS40, Hawk Cars SPF40, Sabre (was KVA), GTD
-Three McLaren M6 ones, no longer produced as far as I know: Tornado, UVA, Manta
-Lola T70: Gardner Douglas T70 Spyder, http://www.gdcars.com/gdt70/gdt70_index.htm
-Piper GTR: Piper Racing, http://www.piperracingcars.co.uk/2.html
-Ferrari P4: Foreman Mk4, http://www.nfauto.co.uk/mk4.htm
-Porsche 917: Kraftwerkz (Australia), http://www.kraftwerkz.net/ (website no longer exists)
What others do you know?
Cheers,
Alex

From a friend, I just found about the Porsche 917 replica that LMK does:

Doesn't look a cheap replica, does it?
Apparently many of the bits they do are now being used to restore real cars.
This should be right up your street.

Unfortunately the project is up for grabs. I've seen them in the flesh (at their workshop), and it's truly stunning.
May be a bit more work than you had in mind

That's in the original post
It's actually my favourite.. despite the project being sold, they quoted a very reasonable £13k for a chassis + body + more kit.. not bad for
that kind of thing, it looks fantastic and the shape is actually very very similar to that of the P4..
