Has anyone got any pics in their archive of an engine and gearbox being lifted with ropes?
I should be able to do mine today and just want to be sure of where to put the ropes. Im planning on one round the bell housing, one round the front
of the sump and one round the exhaust manifold which i have left on, just to be on the safe side.
Any advice much appreciated
When I dropped mine in I had one under the bellhousing/gearbox and the rest on the inlet/exhaust studs on the head.
Guessing it might be a particular part of the build when few will have stopped to go grab a camera but sure I'll be proved wrong on that part
Does your engine not having lifting eyes on still?
I've removed mine but attached them to fit it. I left the gearbox hanging off the engine without support. More than strong enough.
