Try A.C insurance, cost me £550 (I am 28) for a Renault Trafic 03 on fully comp.
They were under any quote I got, I could have got it cheaper if I'd insured personally rather than through company.

Try a trader policy and cover everything you own in one go!
only will have the van. and the beast when she done.
thanks for your input guys.

If you have any choice in this DO NOT get the 1700di, it won't make it up some of the hills around your way empty, let alone loaded up.
They really are unbelievably gutless, I had one for a couple of years
The dti is a lot better, a bit slow to pull away from junctions while you
wait for the turbo to wake up, but at least you'll be able to actually get moving with a fat passenger
The windscreen on those makes me chuckle as well, it's so huge there's a foot deep sun-visor and it still doesn't come low enough to
block your vision
shite! it a 1700di i went to look at, took it for a spin, it went well not fast but will do.
not carrying big stuff, just pit bike and few tools.
Or try the CDTI version. I had one as a hire van for a while, and quite rapid it was too! You don't half get funny looks for overtaking in one.

I remember going to pick up a cctv tower in mine once. It was probably only a bit over 100kg, but I remember ending up doing about 40mph up a long gentle hill, the van just couldn't keep it's speed up. Mind you, thinking about it that one was the old shape one ('99 I think), the newer one might be a bit better...
this one is 03 plate new shape, still aint the fastest van about but will do for me.
