british gas rant

just because your online meter service can not register that i have only used 23 units of gas since junes bill (bill should only be £12 not the £56 you estimated), .

does not mean i should be forced to phone a 0845 number to give a reading, and then be kept waiting because you do not belive my reading, costing me more money whilst i retype in my reading.

i've just been over the same thing, and that's the easy bit. i've overpaid them by almost £200 to get my cash back of the gypsis i have to cancel my direct debit, then set it up again, thus loosing any benefit i get from fixed price plan

Cant offer any help about British Gas....but can offer help with them pesky 0845 numbers.

Say No To 0870...have found this to be very useful

Can you enter a meter reading on line?

I can with my electrickery and gas supplier, Southern Electric.

I read the title and thought, what else is new

I tried that first by for some reason they think that 13907 is smaller than 13884 and would not accept my meter reading thus making me phone up,

I work on their behalf, and quite happily tell anyone who asks to take their business elsewhere! Even I struggle to get in touch with them. There's a rumour going round that the call centre phone number is actually a phone box out front!
