used the figures for the hillclimber, should be fun if i ever get time to drive it, and its 30kg lighter than the calcs allow, roll on spring

Just to show a CEC can compete with you light weight BECs!

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 267
Weight without Driver (KG) : 535
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 507.08
0 - 60 (Secs) : 3.24

Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 11.47
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 120.09

speedyxjs - 6/10/07 at 05:31 PM

Im sorry to say, not entirely accurate. Tin top:

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 216
Weight without Driver (KG) : 1800
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 121.93
0 - 60 (Secs) : 8.53
0 - 100 (Secs) : 23.39
60 - 100 (Secs) : 14.85
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 16.92
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 85.05
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 16.72
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 86.44

She will easily do 0-60 in closer to 6. My guess at locost is looking good though:

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 155
Weight without Driver (KG) : 500
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 314.98
0 - 60 (Secs) : 3.96
0 - 100 (Secs) : 10.62
60 - 100 (Secs) : 6.66
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.41
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 108.09
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.31
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 109.40

speedy,

If you're using Jag bits, I think you may find your weight estimate a bit optimistic

meany - 6/10/07 at 09:20 PM

mines not finished so i used my tintop.
manufacture specs in brackets.
so pretty accurate, if you belive manufacturers...lol

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 226 (230ps)
Weight without Driver (KG) : 1400
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 164.02
0 - 60 (Secs) : 6.01 (0-62, 5.9)
0 - 100 (Secs) : 17.02
60 - 100 (Secs) : 11.02
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 14.78
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 93.17
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 14.38
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 96.01

Hellfire - 7/10/07 at 08:55 AM

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 187
Weight without Driver (KG) : 480
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 395.84
0 - 60 (Secs) : 3.52
0 - 100 (Secs) : 9.33
60 - 100 (Secs) : 5.82
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 11.93
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 113.06
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 11.83
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 114.44

Sadly... although it's based on real world statistics they are not accurate and IMO quite optimistic. Especially with regard to "average" aerodynamics... a Se7en is hardly "average" is it

Stick 0.5-0.6 secs on those 1/4 mile stats. It also states that gear changes are not taken into account - a BEC changes MUCH quicker than a CEC so you CEC boys stick another second or so on.... these are probably more realistic figures.

Come on Big John OR Mark Wirring lets have you put your estimated figures up.

Jasper - 7/10/07 at 02:51 PM

Should be interesting even if it's nearly close:

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 300
Weight without Driver (KG) : 600
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 508.03
0 - 60 (Secs) : 3.24
0 - 100 (Secs) : 8.02
60 - 100 (Secs) : 4.78
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 11.54
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 119.97
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 11.44
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 121.41

I know. I wasnt sure what it would be but i had a look at 600KG and 500hp from the supercharger 4litre i want to eventually put in and it said the 0-60 was 2.7

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 115
Weight without Driver (KG) : 600
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 194.74
0 - 60 (Secs) : 5.62
0 - 100 (Secs) : 15.68
60 - 100 (Secs) : 10.06
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 14.11
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 94.85
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 14.01
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 95.98

makes for good reading and boasting material

NS Dev - 10/10/07 at 12:25 PM

yes it does....................

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 204
Weight without Driver (KG) : 540
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 383.84
0 - 60 (Secs) : 3.56
0 - 100 (Secs) : 9.32
60 - 100 (Secs) : 5.75
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 11.96
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 113.29
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 11.86
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 114.67

that's based on actual weight and rolling road power from two different rolling roads..............

now I just have to try it on the drag strip!!

I am pretty au fait with what a mid 3 sec to 60 car feels like, and mine feels about right, though 0-100 I have no idea, never tried it in one proper clean hit really.

flak monkey - 11/10/07 at 06:55 AM

Seems about right. I think a few people with unfinished cars are being a bit optimistic with the weights

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 155
Weight without Driver (KG) : 625
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 251.98
0 - 60 (Secs) : 4.60
0 - 100 (Secs) : 12.24
60 - 100 (Secs) : 7.64
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 13.04
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 103.22
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.94
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 104.45

speedyxjs - 11/10/07 at 08:07 PM

Wow david i thought your car would have been lighter than that. Makes me worry how heavy mine will actually be

DRC INDY 7 - 19/7/08 at 04:24 PM

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 90
Weight without Driver (KG) : 550
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 166.26
0 - 60 (Secs) : 6.43
0 - 100 (Secs) : 18.78
60 - 100 (Secs) : 12.35

Terminal Speed (MPH) : 89.20
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 14.84
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 90.26

mr henderson - 19/7/08 at 04:42 PM

What's the idea of the 'weight without driver'? Are these cars remote controlled or something?
