STUPID AMERICAN WOMAN!!!!
speedyxjs - 9/10/07 at 06:16 PM

Maybe old news but this is a warning to anyone who tries to handle too much power too fast

PhilCross66 - 9/10/07 at 06:31 PM

Is that a genuine cobra as it says , looks fiberglass at the front

Duncan_P - 9/10/07 at 06:40 PM

Poor Cobra, that women is a total liability! After seeing her driving i wouldn't trust her to drive a pedal car

JoelP - 9/10/07 at 06:57 PM

not sure what fool let her drive it, poor thing didnt have a chance.

StevieB - 9/10/07 at 06:58 PM

I'm assuming she panicked and hit the wrong pedal.

My wife told me a story of an old lady in Scarborough driving a big beemer - she panicked at a T-junction, hit the accelerator, swung it round though 180 degrees and crushed a young mother and her baby against a wall.

I think driving lecenses should be rated for different power levels just like motorbikes are.

omega 24 v6 - 9/10/07 at 07:08 PM

Looks like she's used to an auto and couldn,t work a stick shift (If it was)

David Jenkins - 9/10/07 at 07:21 PM

If you look at the road as she drove away, you can see small plumes of water from the tyres of all the cars in the picture.

My little 100BHP Locost is scary enough when it's wet, let alone a beast like that... I guess she panicked when the car started to go awry...

Only in America.

NS Dev - 9/10/07 at 08:09 PM

lol ah well, takes all sorts

Hellfire - 9/10/07 at 08:14 PM

Correct me if I'm wrong but - was she wearing a wedding dress?

If the photographer "knew she'd do it", he can pick my Lotto numbers but more importantly, why didn't he stop her?

A Cobra in the wet is a handful for any driver - never mind one whose lack of clutch control indicates their in-experience with these types of cars.

Even with experience the very wide rear tyres and huge low down torque are guarenteed to give you control problems in the damp.

The one thing that interested me was that the tail didn't slide down the camber of the road and take her into the oncoming traffic - a much more common occurance with Cobra's

I feel for the owner of the white car.

BenB - 9/10/07 at 09:16 PM

I would have had her out of the car after 5 seconds. If you can't pull away without bunny-hoping you can't handle a Cobra

Oh well... More enthusiasm then skill, more money than sense......

donut - 9/10/07 at 09:32 PM

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Thats SO sad... the car not the woman!! She can go hang but the cobra....... Brings a tear to my eye

robertst - 9/10/07 at 09:47 PM

excuse me but the "american" label is very much pointless in this topic... it could happen to any woman... not only american. i get irritated with so many of the typical, gratuitous anti-american remarks...

Confused but excited. - 9/10/07 at 09:49 PM

If that was my car, the stupid bitch had better have died in the crash!

Fake snake, but a shame all the same. Blatent the car couldn't be handled by the driver...

Never driven a real cobra but Ive driven a few replicas pretty close. You tend to sit a little sideways in them, your feet are further left than your head. Its pretty easy to screw up if you arent used to the car.
Having said that, the lady was going to crash it no matter what.

Was at a car show last year and a guy in a mustang just finished doing a big smokeshow, and went to leave the parking lot. I turned and said to my friends, "Watch, now he is going to lose if because he doesnt realize how greasy his tires are". Sure enough, he pulls out and gives it some throttle and nearly ditches it. Some things you can just see coming

nick205 - 10/10/07 at 08:38 AM

Hey ho - sh1t happens

I do like the look of the straight thru pipes on the car though. I'll bet they sound fantastic in or out of the car

Don't think it was genuine - despite what the caption says. Definitely fiberglass front end where a real one would be aluminum. Spelt correctly to help the Americans
