I've been offered this car in exchange for my ST Locost Fireblade, possibly adjusting prices if need be although that hasn't been discussed.
I'm not very keen on the car (not my type), but since I have the Fury I want to sell the Locost and the Delta Integrale should be easier to sell
here in Spain. I haven't seen the car yet so no idea of condition. My Locost is a basic job, no reverse, standard Escort brakes and so on, Blade
is a '97 4 carb 128 bhp, other than that it's perfect in every sense and ready for any abuse.
What do you think? Worth to go see the car at all? Are these any reliable or am I asking for trouble (again)?
Cheers,
Alex
Is it a Spanish car?
It would still have to be pretty mint for me to do a swap, and I love em!!!
Steve
It's a spanish car, left hand drive and all
It's not the left hand drive bit that I was wondering about (I think they're all left hand drive aren't they?).
It would be the fact that they Rust for Italy! So most of them over here (in our crappy climate) are pretty rotten unless cared for very well - his
Spanish example would stand a much better chance of being less rusty!

Btw, I don't know much about the car, how reliable is it generally?

I didn't know they were all LHD.. As I say, I haven't seen the car and I would suspect it's had a few owners throughout the
years, so it may be the case that it's been in different regions.. coast.. interior.. No clue just yet! An Intergral over a locost is a no brainer.
Is it the Evo with the flared arches? Either way its a no contest.
It's a bit like comparing a factory Lotus Cortina to a well built Dutton Malaga.

If it's decent nick and an Evo, then I'd probably sell the wife for a mint one! I've always wanted one, but can't afford them.
PPC magazine did an article on them a few months back, plenty to be very wary of - but if you get a good one they're awesome.
As on the forum here as lots of people get PPC and they might be able to scan the article for you. I'm away till middle of next week, but if you
still need it then let me know.
From what I remember you need one with FSH - regular cam belt changes, and you may need a specialist garage to look after it if you can't.

lol, they dont have the most enviable record lets say. Having said that if they are looked after then they dont seem anywhere near as bad as
there reputation would have you believe.
PPC delta article scanned and put on my webspace:
===>Click me!<===
Just realised that article is two years old
Seems like only 5 minutes ago I was reading it on the bog

funnily enough I readthe ppc article about these a few days back; I wold need to dig it out but wouldn't be able to scan.
as ^^^ says, 'a' pillars cracking, prone torust but engines if I recall correctly are pretty bomb proof.
I was looking at these a few years ago and I think there was just a hand ful of RHD integrale, then again maybe not,m not that it matters to you.
Definitely NO RHD integrales...if you find one its a conversion with a crappy low ratio, no feeling rack from a base model.
Great car but watch out, they can cost an arm and a leg to maintain. Engine is bullet proof if looked after.

A proper motoring icon. Have a look at Pistonheads to get a feel for prices - all be it in Sterling.
Thank you very much guys.
Duncan (and Timc), I should have thought about Pistonheads as a first place to get an idea of price indeed.
Benzine, I have downloaded the article, so you can delete it from your web space if you'd rather free up some space.
Cheers,
Alex
