Off to New York at the beginning of November to see a mate who is working there. He is working for the first couple of days im out there only for a
few hours in the afternoon.
He lives about 10 min ride from the centre so looking for stuff to do to entertain myself. When he isnt working we are going to see all the sights,
got tickets to the boxing at Madison square gardens, going to watch Rutgers play american football, New Jersey Nets etc..
He is big into sports, but is there any automotive stuff round New York, I know its not renown for it but fancy seeing some other stuff rather than
the usual sights that I saw the first time I went.
I think Times Square is usually one big traffic jam, does that count?

Trust me on this: you won't need anybody to give you ideas on what to do in NY. Check out their Time Out if you can't waste any time. It
makes London feel like a small town.
HOWEVER, the best deal in town is the Staten Island Ferry: great way to situate yourself and get a very cheap tour. Not a lot to do on Staten Island
though...

We did the Staten Island Ferry when the wife and I went over a few years back. Takes a good chunk of the day, but you get to see quite a bit. The
Empire State building is well worth a look, just for the view.
If (like me) you are a big kid, then the FAO Schwarz toy store in Fifth Avenue is great!

Although i was highly sceptical at first, i actually found watching The Lion King show on Broadway to be the best bit of my trip to NY. I don't
like theatres or musicals but they did put on an incredible spectacle.
In typical US style, everything they do is bigger, louder, more flashy etc etc. Worth an open mind.
If you see my brother in NYC, give him a kick up the arse for me will you!
