I didn't - I saw Wayne Gardener win a race on a Matchless!
Thanks for the heads up, I really enjoyed it.
Shame about the damage to the classics in the next race though.
I went there in person for the first time this year and thought it was fantastic. I'm not a big retro fan so a large part of the charm was lost
on me but the racing was absolutely frickin incredible!
The historic saloons made me laugh out loud as enormous yank tanks slid broadside around the corners (the only way they'd turn!) while Minis
nipped in and out of the traffic. Brilliant.
Still not as spectacular as watching the proper sportscars drifting through 100mph+ corners. Jean-Christophe Boullion would repeatedly arrive at the
apex of one corner on the lock-stops of his World's Biggest Steering Wheel (TM) and still doing stupid speed - the kind of speed that makes you
subconsciously step back from the crash fencing. Awe-inspiring.

What got to me was the RAC TT race - an American had flown over his Shelby Cobra Daytona (only 5 ever made - worth $10M) to find that the engine had
failed - so he bought a replacement and flew that over!
There was that, plus a couple of Ferrari GTOs, and assorted other classics, going out to win at all costs.
What it is to have money...
saw it loved it
god i wish i could have a car like they have
and afford SMASH them up like the lolas did
