Hi Guys
toady - 30/10/07 at 08:46 PM

Just joined so thought I'd say hello. Just started building a book locost, bought loads of Mk 2 Escort bits, and then got a cheap blade engine. Now not sure which route to take, but I think the blade will win.

Hello
Blade for the win methinks

Stick with the 1300 Escort engine and save asking any more questions and you'll have a reverse.

As above do this if you want to go relatively slowly and backwards as well as forwards. Personally i'd rather go forwards fast and get out and push on the odd occasion (or fit an electric reverse at a later date)

Paul (not that we want to start a CEC vs BEC debate..... again..... for the n'th million time)

Nice to get some feedback. Think I'll go for the blade. Is there a way of finding which model it is by the engine number? I was led to believe it was a 95 rrs, but the guy was a bit vague. What do you expect for £160

I'd expect a big smile on your face for £160 and the RRS is an 893 Blade engine...

What else would you like to know?

I have a wiring diagram for a later model in my archive ('96 919)...

Steve
