Saw 'Legends' racing today at Brands and i want one of those cars!!!!!! I did do a thread about them about 6 months ago and there was a
reason for not building one which at the time was cost. But maybe in the future it would be great to build one for the road.
This is what they look like:
Legends car
Would be an awesome project!!!
I've thought about it myself, they are dear in this country but cheap as chips in the states...
M
i thought about doing that years ago too! a road going one would be awesome
The championship website is http://www.legendsracinguk.com/ukhome.html I'm going to do some research on where to get the kits and costs. The kits are available here. There was a Ready to race car at Brands today for sale for £9k
blakep82: Saw pickup racing today, bloody great it was!! What engines do they use?
pickups are quality stuff! they use vauxhall 2.0 XE (red top's) or a ford 2.0 16v engine (not entirely sure which, zetec i think). I'm looking for an xe for mine now, since my V6 doesn't fit...
Donut,
The pickups use Zetec or Vauxhall units and were quite amusing on the limit.
They deffo need a V8
Quite liked the Legends, though can't figure what engine they are. I know Yamaha 1250cc, but only 122bhp. I'd guess at XJR1300. Engine bays
open so might be aircooled?
Glad to see Steve Murty still around. I remember his Jet truck and 1st wheely wagon when I went in '87

Would a Legend's body go on a locost /Mk indy chassis that may be my next mod to the indy
Graham
I very much doubt it!
Simon: Yes a V8 in the pickup would be much better!!
I asked about the engine in the Legend and was told they were as you sat Yamaha jobbies. The guy said you can fit whatever bike engine you want plus
small car engines too!!!

Yamaha FJ1200 i think they use. I saw them at Brafield in Northampton a few years ago it was mad as steel plates line that nutty oval...steel plates
