New van
speedyxjs - 23/11/07 at 07:30 AM

We have just brought a new freezer van
Its a citroen berlingo. I didnt really think much of them but its actually a really nice van. Iv only driven it round the block last night but its better than our kangoo which i really liked.
Are there any common problems that i should know about?

don't try and put a new radio in it if it has multiplex wiring

not a lot works after you do.

Our Transit Connect does it for me - cracking little van

I had the version with seats in it for a couple of weeks when my other car was in for repair. I thought it was OK, though a bit odd-looking (when you are used to a "normal" car )

Citroen's are fab.

But too innovative and frightening for most mechanics ( probably Ford trained!!! )

The seals will go on the injectors.

Them and Veedub caddy's are best for me.

The berlingos are 3rd for me very good vans. We had some of the pug versions on the PO for a bit. Put up with the abuse quite well. Is it the 1.9 d or hdi?
When the belts are changed make sure the idlers are changed aswell.. Some of the plastic ones at high mileage taper and throw the belt off if theyr not changed..

mangogrooveworkshop - 23/11/07 at 02:54 PM

they hold well up to some of our drivers and mines a 1.9 slow enough to keep you from speeding
nothing wrong with citroen except a nightmare to get serviced as local dealer went bust.......

the kangoo was a good one for going down the cycle paths [to do utility repairs for a major uk comms co]

Got one of them too but its too big for some of the roads we go down. Its good to have a van that size but only one
