"This one is doing the rounds again. Think there was a healthy discussion here last time this came up, but hope some may want to put their name to saving this historic circuit.

Please help to keep Castle Combe circuit open. It has been open since the 1940's.

Two recently arrived residents in the village (who rent, and have not bought their properties) have forced the Council to issue noise abatement notices on the circuit.

If these are not lifted the circuit will have to close.

I have just signed your petition. We have the same sort problem in Deal, the council built a open air stage for live music. The first weekend a band played a "local" weekender from London complained and music has now been stopped. I simular picture at Lydden Hill circuit near here locals are always trying to get it closed, why the hell then do they move near it, it's been there for years a lot longer than many of them.

This is the same petition that went out a few years ago.
Obviously some one has rediscovered it on the net and pushed the big red panic button as quite a few other motoring forums now have this thread.

DONT PANIC!!

The circuit has been having quite a few phone calls over the last few days on this matter and they want to asure everone that it it is buisness as usual for next year and there is no noise abatement notices out against the circuit.

Can't someone local, publish the complainants names amd addresses?
We could all write to them directly then.
Especially after they have been posted on all the other forums.
