Lol @ singlemuslim.com

Griffin power systems, omex, etyres, BEC owners club, adrian flux, i think we can all relate to. Netrino is fair enough since they donate the web space, but singlemuslim.com i think is a bit random for this site

???

worX - 4/12/07 at 04:04 PM

I was wondering about that one myself - on this (mostly) car derived site!

I also wondered about the ratio of nationalities/races in the Locostbuilder "community" and wether there was actually a much greater ratio of muslims and therefore a reason why that advert was there instead of a, lets say, single-White-dating-agency?

It all helps pay for the upkeep of the site.

ALMOST as misplaced as a Leona Lewis Bleedin' Love ringtone ad.

Fozzie - 4/12/07 at 05:20 PM

I think you will find the ad is a 'random' google ad.

As said, helps with the upkeep of the site...

LocostBuilders members come from ALL over the WORLD!

i don't think they're THAT random! since every other ad is car related, except leona lewis obviously.

not a problem, just i was surprised!

worX - 4/12/07 at 05:36 PM

Not a problem for me either! Just as Blake said, it was a BIT Random!
Surely they're not that random if it revolves around the same 5 or 6 and then a couple of leona lewis type ones thrown in?

Confused but excited. - 4/12/07 at 05:47 PM

It's all OK. as long as you don't call the car a 'seven' or 'Mohammed'.

Fozzie - 4/12/07 at 05:49 PM

No ...not that random.......as far as I know, there are a few of ChrisW's ads alternated with a few of Googles ads...... which, and what, the latter are, is the 'random' bit...........

Fozzie

Google ads are based on the content of the page. Since most threads on here are car based we get a lot of car ads. If we happen to be discussing Islam's aversion to certain teddy bear names we are likely to get different ads!

As said above, the Google ads seem to get mixed up with some of ChrisW's own ones.

Google ads will only generate money for the site if they are clicked on.

britishtrident - 5/12/07 at 12:09 PM

I don't ever see the ads -- they just don't exist for me, I run Firefox with AdBlock Plus

Peteff - 5/12/07 at 12:35 PM

I clicked on one at the bottom to learn Apache, I thought it might be handy if I ever wanted to join a different tribe. What a gip, it's nothing to do with native Americans.
