Hi guys,
i am in the process of sorting out my brake pipes.
I am told i need a4 way brake union for my car.
One connection goes to the master cylinder
One goes to the rear brakes
One goes to each front calipers/flexi connections and the other goes to brke pressure switch.
Where do i get such 4 way union and a brake pressure switch
Help please guys

What master cylinder are you using? I would try and have a split system front/rear to at least attempt to retain some brakes in a circuit failure.

i have a sierra master cylinder and not alot else yet
I think i will be buying a pedal box with a bias bar

The sierra master cylinder has two circuits doesnt it

I think the front and middle holes feed the two front callipers and the rear most one feeds the rears via a two way splitter...

Brake switch only works off one circuit ideally it should be the front circuit so you just need a 3 way tee connection.

You can't connect both front and rear hydraulic pipework together or you turn it back into a single circuit system which won't pass SVA.

Sierra M/C has two front brake outlets and one to the rear. If you fit the brake light switch inline you need a 3 way connector for the switch and one for the rear brakes if you are teeing to them.

The old legal requirement from the old construction and use laws is that any brake that works on the front brakes has to operate the brake lights. This why it should technically be on the front circuit.

This has been largely forgotten about and not covered in the SVA or MOT.

if you go bias bar then the 4 way is useful.

otherwise for the sierra you need a 3 way as others have said.

alternativie to using pressue switch is to use a rod switch (is that the right name?) that is switched by the brake pedal - that way you don;t need to top into the hydraulics and works for both front and rear lines!
