I've had a bad day!

First of all today, after 4 weeks of chasing, I get my gearshift cable from ADR engineering.
Instead of 8ft long, it is only 7ft!
That I can handle.
What really fried my noodle;
It has taken me months to make my uprights, get them plated etc, but the rear ones needed putting in a mill and a bit taken off the lugs that hold the caliper carriers on.
This was for 2 reasons:
One was to centre the carrier on the disc and the other, was to square the lugs off to make sure the caliper ran parrallel to the disc.
So what does the idiot do?
He decides it is easier to machine the caliper carrier!
Not only do I have two non-standard caliper carriers, because he machined them, they also still run out on the disc!
So now I have had to buy two more carriers and he is having to start again (another £95 for the carriers).
He asked if he should machine the lugs back because he can remember the amount he took off.
No was my reply, wait until you have the new carriers before you machine my uprights! Can you imagine the next disaster!
Days like today I can do without!!!!!!!!!!

Look on the bright side.
Tell him the next job will be £95 cheaper, if he wants to keep his knees!

So who's paying for the carriers? If he didn't do what you asked for then...

Indeed.

I'll pick the carriers up on Tuesday, along with the bill, which will be passed on.
No mention of a refund, but the Guy who done them is not the Boss, so I will have to wait until I catch up with him.
