Had a couple of quid spare cash so thought I'd treat myself!
Bought a Draper angle grinder and twisted wire cup brush as advertised on here as the 'tool'
What a revelation, can't think of a better way to spend 20 quid, the rust and crud just disappears. To anyone thinking of starting this type of
project then this should be high on your list of 'must haves'
Up until now I'd been fooling myself that the wire brush in the Black and Decker was just as good, it doesn't come close!
I read somewhere, (may well have been here) that Nitromorse, (paint stripper) was good for cleaning aluminium castings. Tried it today and was well
impressed, it seems to get right down into the surface and lift out the crud, with the addition of a little rattle with a stiff brush it has turned a
92 MT75 into a thing of beauty.
Off to rest on my laurels, (or await incoming )
