Dirt Kart Racing February who wants to go?

Hi

Ive just got planning permission from the council to have all day dirt kart racing on my local motorcross track which Im hoping to take over the lease its a 0.9 mile track. which has hills side bowls(semi wall of death etc) straights its very testing and great fun

there is 200cc karts for over 8's(they use the flat track only)

400cc karts for adults which are good fun and fast enough

I cant see why this sport isnt massive in the UK as we moan about our beloved cars bikes in the garage over the winter nothing to do, well if it rains this is even better its one permanent power slide and you get filthy!!!!

whats the thoughts of a group booking day perhaps half term? would you be prepared to book a day of work if it was in the week and had plenty of notice?

we could do an all day'er warm ups qualifying and finals with prizes? throughout the day.
perhaps have some kids races aswell theres camping/catering available..

were allowed 5 cars on track at a time which would be in ten minute sessions

Im looking at around 30 adults
childrens track is seperate so could be same numbers or less etc

the cost would be £35 for the day adults
and £30 children this will get loads of track time so is great value considering most are £10 for minutes in a slow go kart

please put down if your interested weekend or weekday or both
and who would be participating ie Xadults Xchildren

I would be up for it and probably my son (18) and his mate. Either weekend or half term would be best for us.

I like it! but will a 6'2 16 stone fat bloke like me fit in one. If so weekend would be good for me.

hi steve yes the adult karts are slightly bigger than the ones pictured

Im also 6 2 and wouldnt be doing it if I couldnt have half the day to myself on there as spiteful as I am

OK the season is march to november, but there is somehting already, and its the most popular motorsport in the uk, and also by far the cheapest (in fact a meeting will cost less than a session in a blitz kart)

Its also bloody fast and scary if you want it to be!! As an avid fan of loose surface racing I've never understood the blitz buggy idea (sorry to be critical, they are still great fun!! ) as autograss cars have SO much more power, are MILES quicker and yet at club level are actually cheaper to build!

PS here's another one, though you'll have seen it already if you were at autosport show last year, and if not, then go this year, plenty of grassers in the live action arena!!

thanks for telling me that

sadly as much as Id love r6 powered grass trackers and all that

1 the council would close the permit within seconds

2 the noise great I know but realistically not great

3 were talking about the average person in the street here who has perhaps has never owned a fast car isnt in the motorsport "c" at all but wants a bit of fun on the weekends and going round a track at 50mph is fun enough perhaps with his child aswell.

not letting some some 17 year old lad launch off down the straights at 153mph
