if you sorn your car can you pospone the insurance until you put it back on the road?

Flux won't do it on my policy - it's either insured or not.
If your car is roadworthy etc, and there's a reason you're keeping it off the road (like cos it's winter), I'd at least arrange
third party fire and theft.

Just get fire&theft (storage) cover, no point paying for third party if you won't be driving.
