Try a household carpet stain remover mouse - Vanish etc. Cheaper and better than any vehicle upholstery cleaners!! There are very coarse sponges available too specifically designed for cleaning upholstery.

Can recommend brake cleaner for removing grease from seats and carpets.

foam cleaners work best, I got some stuff out of asda, vanish stuff or something, worked very well

Take the seats out, jetwash them, dry out inside and refit - works every time

novel, but don't think I'd do that with expensive seats

Works fine with everything except leather (heated excepted!)

Seconded, gets 'em like new
They turn out suprisingly dry too, most of the water just gets blasted through.

Another vote for the jet wash - nothing beats high pressure water.

p.s. Been scaring the passengers Simon?

Karcher steam cleaner works well on carpet, havent tried it on seats though
