Cheapest international carrier I have found is UPS, sent two Escort struts to the US for £180 at just short of 50kg.

Any post or air courier will cost the earth.

You need to find a 'Freight Consolidator' company, who puts small freight items together in a container.

The gearbox should cost about £20 to Aus ( and the same again at this end if you don't deliver it to the consolidators yourself), if you can wait the few months it takes by ship.

Cheers,
Syd.
