I didn't know he was unwell, but agree with the sentiments.

Always been a fan, but never seen him live unfortunately.

Saw him years ago in Blackpool - astonishing. In the end, the management turned the lights off as he was in for the night!

Hysterically funny - and if you thought he was rude, it was all in your mind, 'cos it was all double-meanings. If you didn't know what he was on about, it wasn't rude!

Never heard of him but get well soon

D Beddows - 1/1/08 at 04:57 PM

I dealt with him in a professional capacity ( so he was being the real Ken Dodd not the 'titifalarious' entertainer) a few years ago and he is one of the biggest t*ssers I've ever had the misfortune to meet

No I couldn't sit through an entire Ken Dodd show without laughing - but I would have skated across hell to get to my seat

I always remember his tax dodging episode. They always said he went in for pile surgery shortly after and they found another £20,000 stashed up there . Get well soon Doddy. We had Tarrant for a Christmas do at a place I worked years ago and he was the most whinging b@stud you could hope to meet at the time so it probably runs in show business.

Whilst i would wish no one ill Ken Dodd does not and never as rocked my boat, utter garbage.

I worked in a theatre for a few years (hence my dealings with Mr Dodd) and had quite a few illusions shattered I'm afraid There are some nice people in show business but being a w*nker seems to be a lot more popular!

I had my illusions shattered when I met him in a news agents in Liverpool.
He was buyimg a box of chocolates for a sick friend.
He asked if they had anything cheaper than £3.50!
Tight 'flower'.
