Bit of a mad post this one. Ive got a half decent flat screen TV that i would like to use as a portable around the house. House is rented so ive no desire to get an amplified TV point in every room. Why cant you get an indoor aerial that will tune itself in? Ive tried a couple of types over the years and all seem pretty poor. Do they all have to be twisted / twiddled and generally contorted into weird shapes to get a half hazy image??
Indoor aerials are poo because they are surrounded by a concrete box blocking all the signals and are also too low down.
IF you've got cable or sky you might be better using a wireless TV link. You attach the transmitter to the sky / cable / freeview box and squirt the signal to the receiver box. They're not so bothered by walls. Mobiles and microwave ovens tend to upset them a bit though....
As do wireless networks as they broadcast on the same 2.4 GHz frequency.
Considering the amount of houses now with Wfii netoworks they really ought to make that clearer.
Unfortunately we dont have sky or cable. Only freeview built into one of our TV's.
