As above, I want to buy back one of my old cars but the person I sold it to has sold it and cant/wont give me the dtails of who he sold it to.
Is there a way of finding out who the current registered keeper is with a view to me contacting them to see if they want to sell it/making them an
offer to buy it from them??
I vowed I'd never buy back an old car again - theyre never as good as you remember then the first time around...a bit like women...
have you first checked through the dvla licence register that the car is still around first, just type the reg and the make and you'll know that at least
yup done that and also rac & aa and they all say its still in existance
You can get current keepers details from the DVLA if you fill in the right form and send off a cheque. But you have to have a valid reason, and
finding out a keeper of your old car is not one of them, i know as my dad was trying to trace his old car, they just send back the cheque and the
form.
You could try bribing the person you sold it to?
yeah get some dirt on your friend and blackmale him into giving you it
I have heard about this before - one method, although blatant lying is involved, is to tell the dvla that you thought you might have accidently
damaged the car and want to contact the owner, or even the other way around - say that you think your old car clipped yours.
I know it is slightly dodgy, but I'm not sure there is another easy way around it.

theres a car text hpi check. it costs 1.50
text to 88600 you must type (check) so its
(check "space" registration of car you want to check)
iam sure it gives you the owner name and address.

dvla will tell you if you say you've had an accident with the car. As far as I know they dont follow it up.
