Just a quick question really..
Im looking at the possibility of using Elise uprights on my middi....
Does anyone know what bolt pattern they use on their hubs? Is it a standard ford size or something remotley usefull or will I be stuck with elise
wheels?
Nothing wrong with Elise wheels - plus there are some really cool lightweight items available
Nope..nothing wrong with them....
But the rears are not very wide....I cant find any much wider than standard anyway..

Elise rears are wider than the fronts. I have an elise and 2 sets of wheels. They should be ideal for a midi. I recall the pcd for the S1 elise is
4x96.25. I think later Toyota engined elises changed to 4x100.
Some rovers have the same pcd like the bubble shaped rover 200s.
There is a good elise wheel archive on the msandsmuseum website which shows styles available.
I think there are 2 types of elise uprights. Early ones were made of aluminium and may have had a tendancy to break. Later S1 elises have steel.
If you need any more info please let me know.
How much power....
Try 400
(Eventually).....
The standard engine is 200...so thats pretty much where im aiming to start.... Not convinced the standard rear wheels will be wide enough, but I need
to do some calculations and work it out...
my elise has 190bhp on lotus 340r wheels. Maybe find out how much bhp is in some of the modified elises/exiges and see what rears they are using.
