DO wii games from the us work n uk wiis?

Jon Ison - 11/1/08 at 07:12 PM

I suspect not as the Wii games we have have PAL on them, but I'm off to States in morning and they will be on my "look out for" list.

Cheers. My dad doesnt want to pay the uk price for them anymore

I think only the PS3 and XBOX360 Elite have this advantage by using HDMI. It removes the need for PAL/NTSC

you could get it chipped and then you'll be laughing.

If it's an older wii then you can get it chipped no problems, if it's a newer one (there are sites which list serial numbers) it involves something like 30 tiny wires soldering in

Slightly OT, maybe OTT; I don't know the answer, but I do know that until co's such as Nintendo stop selling stuff in the UK for the $ price in Sterling, I won't be having it it my house.

And if you go have the older Wii I have a spare Mod chip sat here - can't use it cos I've got the later one and haven't got up the courage to solder the 30 wires for the new one
