Ive just started Judo last week and its been a real eye opener and i enjoyed every minute of it.
The black belts were very encouraging and helpful.
It really is quite an amazing thing that one guy who i was sparing with was 67 and can be so agile, supple and strong!
I must admit its quite hard when your first trying to spar and you have to put the other guy on his back(from the floor, not doing throws), felt a bit
foolish because i dont know any techniques, but i think this is all to show you that using your strength alone really isnt going to get you very
far.
Carnt wait for the next class

agility? nah, a quick jab in the nuts will floor most.
I used to do Judo when I was a lad. I broke a collar bone, luckily it wasn't mine.
i have fond memories of my judo days. I once won a bout in 6 seconds with an o'goshi (sp??) the lad i threw; his feet scraped the the ceiling

Keep it up mate, you'll come to love it.
If you learn the techniques correctly, you don't need any strength at all.
From what I've heard, you need to learn to not love your front teeth!
Apparently being thrown face first into the ground by someone inexperienced is a good way to lose them!
Cheers,
