I have never bought any aftermarket wheels for my cars, hence the stupid question...

My old nissan sunny has a 4x100 stud pattern. So does a set of wheels advertised for very cheap, but they are for Mazdas (claims they are good for the MX-5).
1. The seller is unsure of the ET size, but I reckon if it is slightly wider than my existing ones, that should not be a problem, in fact it could help roadholding. Am I right?
2. More importantly: Will any 4x100 wheel fit on my car or does the centre hole size matter as well? In other words, does anyone know if a Mazda wheel will fit a Nissan?

If the offset is quite different it will affect handling and you could have clearance issues with calipers, wheel arches etc. Also size DOES matter - the centre bore needs to be the same or you will have fitting problems or wheel wobbles.

Looks like the centre bore would be the only problem, spigot rings (is that what they're called ?) from an alloy wheel shop would "adapt" the size and make 'em fit
