For reasons that I won't go into, there are times when it would be useful to write out a cheque in euros. This could be solved with a French Bank
account.
I know it is possible for a non French resident to open a Bank account in France but can anyone tell me what if any the charges are and if there are
any difficulties and perhaps recoomend any Banks that you have had good experiences with.
I know this is a really oddball question but I know at least one Locoster is based in France so I'd be very grateful for any help you can
offer.
Thank you very much in advance
John
Ireland does euros too.
Would you trust a french bank after what happened recetly!?

Good point.
I spend quite a lot of time in France so even in the light of the above it would be the easiest for me to pop in and open an account.
Thank you for your reply.

Hi, I can ask my bank manager if you like but knowing what they're like over here I'm not sure what the answer will be. The alternative is to open a Euro account with your bank in UK. I know that's possible at lesat for businesses. U2U me if you want me to make a call for you.
Hi John, if france is anything like spain you will prob need a french address to open an account even if you are not resident there and proof of it, i
now we did to open one in spain.
