vauxhall F18 gearbox weight?
blakep82 - 31/1/08 at 11:26 PM

anyone know?

I just sold that gearbox on ebay

what does this say about postage?

ebay wouldn't let me list until i put in a postage cost for some reason even though i put collection only all over it, now the winner has already sent paypal for £40... whats the cheapest way to send this? any ideas on what it weighs? and what the cost would be?

I've already sent him a message saying it does say collection only, and i've not heard back yet. if he starts being difficult (i imagine he would, he lives about 600 miles away) then i'll throw in the towel and post it, but he'll have to pay the extra. but whats it gonna cost?

i'd say its pretty clear you want collection. If he's difficult - how much do you want rid of hte gearbox? I'd suggest that you point out you wanted collection but you'd post it if he's prepared to pay 10 + half the additional cost.

What about those pallet companies? Get a pallet from a skip and strap it to that.

Try these people, I use them and they are pretty fair on price. You will need the width, depth, and height, plus the weight, to get a quote. HTH Ray

cheers mike!

i managed to get a quote on www.parcel2go.com for £17 (but thats if it weighs 25kgs)

he sent an email asking for a phone number, so maybe we can sort something.

have you got any links to a pallet company to get a price?

basically, i just want rid of it, more money to spend on the pickup and getting my engine sorted

edit: ha ha, i was a bit late there
