I am thinking of getting my exhaust sprayed black, has anyone tried this. Will the paint stay on.

I wouldn't think you will get paint to stick, I might be wrong the better option must be this link

high temp paint should stay on but only on the part of the exhaust that is seen on the outside of the car where the exhaust doesnt get that hot. the part just after the engine is what glows red hot, so maybe thermal wrap is better for that part.

Exhast paint is excellent stuff, the most expensive stays on for at least 30 mins! Stick with wrap.

I have some of the ht paint on my xflow tubular exaust manifld and it staye on for at least 31 mins.

I have measure temp to be in region of 300 C but since the manifold was not new, I am seeing a little bit of rust coming through, nothing major.

I suspect given more time I will need to re do it.

So it is not as bad as ^^^^ says.

with wrap, the downside is it can trap moisture so will speed up the rusting of your pipes.
