were can i get rid of some (30) car tyres
some only part worn some completely shot,
i work for a recycleing company but we don't do tyres?
anyone know of a company who will dispose of them for me?
yes i could dump them on the side of road but i wont.
kwick fit or any other tyre fitters
there may be a charge though
or you could see if your local kart track or racing circuit would be interested in taking them off your hands
good thinking that man will ring round a few.
Local harbour??? the trawlers use them for side buffers/protectors sometimes. Our local skip site takes them F.O.C.
go to kwick fit but late at night and leave them there in a nice neat pile. That's what I do.
anyway I'm sure there worth money these days as they make rubber mats etc from them and recycle the steel, I saw it on the telly.
As above, a track somewhere could possibly use them, that's what we use for barriers ar some corners at Forrestburn.
Otherwise, I reckon it's quite a tricky one.
Have a look at @ Used Tyre Working Group. Their closest
disposal site seems to be about 10 miles from you at Castle Cement Stamford. No idea if they'll take them for free but they'll probably burn
them in the kilns

I used to work at an engineering company where the boss was to tight to provide proper heating. The workshop heater was a homemade wood burner made
from an old water tank about 4 foot by 6 foot with fire door and flue added to it.
When it got really cold in the winter we used to burn old tyres in it instead of the usual sawdust and oil.It used to give a good heat output but
unfortunately the people in the old folks home opposite didnt agree and complained to the council.
